Office Winhov
Inez Tan

We’re excited to welcome Inez Tan and Rick Bruggink of @officewinhov to INDESEM.25!

Office Winhov specializes in the renovation and transformation of existing buildings, with a careful understanding of context and a strong focus on material presence. At a time when sustainability is paramount and our cities long for historical and cultural depth, it is essential that existing structures are transformed with care. Office Winhov’s design philosophy activates our urban past while simultaneously shaping the foundations of the future. Recently, they published the book Architecture Repurposed, in which they elaborate on their transformation methods.

Inez Tan, partner at Office Winhov, approaches architecture as an ongoing dialogue between past and present, ensuring relevance through meticulous research and a keen awareness of urban dynamics. Beyond her practice, she contributes to architectural discourse as co-editor of Local Heroes.

Rick Bruggink, senior architect at Office Winhov, has led several complex reuse projects within the firm. His aim is to realise projects that make a lasting, positive contribution to both the physical and social context.
