Ludovica Cassina
Ludovica Cassina is a project leader at BC architects & studies: a Brussels-based firm that integrates architecture, research and material production. BC is internationally recognized for its bioregional, low-tech and circulair approach to architecture.
Ludovica led the Woodstock project, a self-sufficient private house in the Ardennes built entirely from local stone, timber and earth using vernacular techniques. Another notable project by the office is Lot 8, a bioregional renovation of a 19th-century train depot in Arles into a design and research hub for Atelier LUMA.
After completing her MSc at TU Delft in 2020, she was awarded the runner-up prize for the Marina van Damme award in 2023, recognizing her academic and professional achievements.
Ludovica currently works on projects that transform soil from construction sites into building materials, demonstrating how architecture can be both regenerative and socially engaged. Her work reflects a deep commitment to circular design, community engagement and environmental responsibility.
