Thomas Rau is an architect, thinker and entrepreneur whose Amsterdam based architecture office, RAU Architects, is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in circular building and sustainable design. De Groene Afslag, a vibrant circular hub and cultural venue near Laren, will be created through the transformation of a former military site. Another recent project is De State Hillegersberg, the adaptive reuse of a school building in Rotterdam, now a high end residential complex.
